Pen down, attention up.
Record your lecture. Penfree writes notes you can trust, then quizzes you ten minutes a day until the exam.

Made for every lecture you sit in
One lecture in. One note you can trust out.
A sample lecture we wrote, with one deliberate slip at x = 3. Penfree's note is its unedited output.
The graph is live. Drag it or scroll to zoom.
Notes you don't have to double-check.
Only what your lecturer said.
Penfree writes from the transcript and nothing else. No invented facts, no filler pulled from the internet. If it wasn't said in the lecture, it isn't in your notes.

Every calculation, checked again.
A math engine reworks each calculation from the numbers in the lecture. When something doesn't add up, Penfree flags it instead of quietly changing it, so you know exactly what to check.

Graphs from the lecture's own numbers.
Functions, distributions, charts and diagrams are drawn by code from what was stated, so a graph never shows a value nobody said.

Built on notes you can trust, so your revision is too.
Most study apps quiz you on whatever got written down. Penfree quizzes you only on what your lecturer said, with the math already checked, and shows you exactly what to study before each exam.

- 3 days
- of correct answers to master an idea
- 10 days
- of exam sprint before every exam
Daily Capsules
A short quiz every day, built only from your own lectures. An idea counts as mastered once you get it right on three separate days, and the questions move from recall to applying it to exam-style.

Readiness map
Before each exam, every topic from your lectures is marked solid, shaky or untouched, so you spend your study time where it actually matters.
- Power rule
- Derivative as a slope
- Slope at a point
- Graphing f and f′
- Tangent line equation
- Derivative of x³

Questions, answered.
How much does it cost?
Penfree is free during the private beta. Student plans launch in November, and you'll see the price before anything is ever charged.
Am I allowed to record my lectures?
It depends on your school and instructor, so check your course policy or ask your professor. Most are fine with recording for personal study. Penfree reminds you before your first recording.
Does it work for subjects without math?
Yes. Essay-heavy courses get clean, structured notes. Graphs and math checks only appear when the lecture actually contains them.
How is this different from other note and flashcard apps?
Other apps summarise a recording or quiz you on whatever got written down. Penfree writes only from your lecture, rechecks the math with a separate math engine, and builds your daily quizzes and readiness map from those checked notes. ChatGPT, by comparison, answers from everything it has read, not from your lecture.
What happens to my audio?
It's transcribed in short pieces, and each piece is deleted right after. Only the transcript and your notes are saved, privately to your account.
When can I get in?
